As we approach the season of endless partying that begins with Halloween, we're going to see more and more of this kind of thing. It's an article about how to dole out healthful treats on Halloween as a means of fighting childhood obesity. At least the author admits she'd feel bad handing out carrot sticks. But people, please. All you are doing is teaching children how to grow up and spoil holidays by being finicky and demanding that the hostess cook seven entrees to accommodate her guests' various diets.
No harm will come to children if they eat candy on Halloween. The problem comes from feeding them as if it's Halloween every other day of the year.
