From Iraq: Capturing Bad Guys & Drafting A Constitution

|
Here are two good tidbits out of Iraq. They reached an agreement to give the Sunnis 25 seats on the council that will draft the Constitution. Here's hoping that further undermines the "insurgency."

Also, we captured al-Zarqawi's front man, Mohammed Khalaf Shakar. That's good news in itself, but I delight in two details of the story.
  • We were led to him by Iraqi informants who are tired of these guys.
  • Shakar was said to wear an explosive vest at all times and vowed never to be taken alive, but he surrendered without a fight.
