I agree with something I read on one of the big dog blogs. If DeLay is innocent of wrong-doing, he's a hero (as it appears to me), and if he's guilty, this is overdue. Did anyone catch DeLay on Rush this afternoon? He was terrific. Certainly didn't sound like a guy who fears his imminent humiliation in court. And by resigning his seat late, he prevents there being a special election for his seat (TX law oddity) --so probably the Rs will keep what could have been a Dem pick-up.
