My little guy shrugs, looks at the ground and mutters in a voice just shy of inaudible, "I'm sorry." It's not that he isn't sorry, but it costs him every bit of his pride to admit he is wrong. I wonder what made me think of that just now?
Let me say, however, that to his credit the 5-year-old does apologize. Don't hold your breath waiting for the two-year-old to do so.
