What would you like to read today? The articles arguing that actually the public voted for Conservatives? A good case can be made --especially in the Indiana races, where pundits are talking about the Dems gaining Indiana, but not mentioning that our beloved John Hostettler was defeated by a Dem running to his right on Iraq, immigration, the economy. If you go race by race, you don't find a big "liberal" win; you find a fake Conservative win. Or, best case scenario, you find that what used to be called "blue dog Democrats" have been elected, which would be a good thing for the country in the long run --we do need a two-party system, after all. We'll see whether or not they were faking it to get elected --or if they have the guts to buck their leadership, which remains looney.

If you prefer, you can read a string of post-mortems by the SourCons who thought losing the election was a good strategy in the first place, and are delighted at this opportunity to become more ideologically pure. Find 'em yourself --they're all over.

And there are Rummy post-mortems, too. Did a double-take when I saw one by Cap Weinberger (What? Oh, Junior). I'll miss my Rummy --and his periodic injections of "adult" into our public discourse.

Apart from that, I agree with nin, it's a slow news day. I just don't have the stomach to read all the instant analysis...chaw on it a few days first, boys.
