Nightmare Scenario

CNN's featuring Egypt's "Dr. Ruth." For all Islam's hatred and fear of Western corruption, bit by bit it gives in to it (remember when we almost caught Osama in Afghanistan --and contraceptives were among the personal effects his family left behind?). Islam doesn't seem to have the capacity to simply resist our decadence. But it keeps up its hatred of our good political institutions, by jingo. Let's not kid ourselves: the fall of the West would mean the worst of both worlds: Eastern tyranny with Western decadence. Let's stick with the system that has at least the theoretical capacity to renew itself.
