A band the name of which I no longer recall had a hit song about an uppity "flight attendant" when I was in college. Two stories about news readers (sorry, respected journalist anchormen) bring it to mind.

• Brian Williams touts his "credentials." Which would be laughable enough without the next story as intensifier.
• Katie Couric "plagiarizes." (Actually, she doesn't, but therein lies the story.)
