Wanted, Court Librarian, Immediate Opening

|
A NC judge ruled yesterday that witnesses can take their oaths over any sacred text, not just the Bible (no one is required to make an oath on the Bible, keep in mind. It's one of three options, the others being to swear "so help me God" or simply to affirm solemnly on no religious ground). May I, a Roman Catholic, swear an oath on the Koran?
Judge Paul Ridgeway said both common law and state Supreme Court precedent allow witnesses and jurors to use the text "most sacred and obligatory upon their conscience."

Oh, the possibilities!
