On Happy Catholic's recommendation, I took a look at Pioneer Woman, which is the blog of a big-city law student who allowed herself to be swept away by a literal cowboy, married him, and now keeps his house and raises his children, among other things. She also has a cooking blog, at which she posts the "embrace the pot roast" recipes she's mastered because ranchers don't eat sushi. The comments on this recipe are hilarious and quite telling. My husband is a man of few words, but this got a “can you make this again, soon” from him. That’s the best compliment he’s given me in 5+ years
And:
I think my husband almost ran out and bought another diamond to re-propose to me. He was in heaven. I cook chick food almost all the time, so all this beef and butter and yummy goodness was a real treat for him.

Not to mention:
I DON’T KNOW HOW TO COOK, yet I made these sandwhiches for my husband Saturday and HE TOLD ME HE LOVED ME AND KISSED ME ON THE HEAD OUT OF THE BLUE!!!!! [snip]Your recipes are igniting a fire of romance in my home....
And:
OMG, I made this for my husband and I don’t think he will ever be the same.
It seems if the "it" has gone out the relationship, a bit of red meat might do the trick. As I have noted previously.
