Obama campaign's first defense of the little guy.
Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.
Because the change we need in America is holding where you come from against you. This amateurish response shows two things. First: that the Obama camp was caught flat-footed. Second: that it's made up of young ideological twirps without a shred of grace.

O/T, but Mr. W. & I, watching Joe Biden in crowd shots, agreed that he looks like a mayor.

And back to Sarah Palin, a more enthusiastic response. How could I resist The Artful Codger?
pundits across the political spectrum have questioned his political judgment many times in the past several years, and even pronounced his candidacy hopeless. And yet, next week he will become the Republican candidate for President. Perhaps his political judgment is more sound than many of us think.
