It's Probably Only Mostly Dead
...So it's not yet time to go through the pockets and look for loose change. Still, in When Ought We to Declare a Catholic Institution Dead?, Dan McInerny becomes the first Notre Dame alum I've ever encountered who finds his university's misbehavior soured his ability to respect and root for it. I always marvel at the loyalty of ND grads and the eagerness of practicing Catholics to send their kids there. Why, for pete's sake?
