Look away, if you will. This is a post for the benefit of the external hard drive solely, not intended to be insufferably self-regarding.  Not that the list is so impressive this year anyway. Pretty sure I'm missing a few titles, but memory doesn't serve. It took me forever to plow through Churchill's massive history of WWII, and towards the end of the year I traded reading for French lessons. Favorites: Churchill, McCullough's Greater Journey about Americans in France & Shadows on the Rock.
