Class Rules I Love

A religion teacher posted these class discussion rules for her high school juniors. I taught high school once. These would have helped. A lot (via Happy Catholic).
  1. Life experience trumps what you read on a website.
  2. College education trumps what you read on a website.
  3. You are not allowed to say, "Religion is the opiate of the masses" if all you mean by that is, "I hate my parents."
  4. You will preface every tangential remark with, "I realize that I have no life experience or basic understanding of Christianity, and therefore my opinions are poorly informed on the basis of resenting the fact that I have to wear a uniform to school, but..."
  5. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE A MARXIST YET
