The Principle of Authority

|
I'm cooking dinner and just heard Tony Blankely flacking his book on Hannity. As an example of his contention that the Islamists divide kids from their parents and from all authority, he points out that for centuries in traditional Islam, jihad could only be declared by a religious council --never by an individual. This was a moderating force. Blankely asserts that the Islamists persuade kids that any individual has the right to declare jihad. Hmmm. Sola fide, sola scriptura, eh? Sounds like Islam needs a Counter-Reformation. She says, just to bait her Protestant relatives. (Love ya, Dudes, abba-abba-abba).
