The End of Eros

Several bloggers on my usual daily rounds have written this week about the NYT Magazine's profile of a fetish p0rnographer running a lucrative p0rn site. Just an average Joe Businessman from the 'burbs. I've noted the Times' treating p0rnagraphy as perfectly respectable previously, and this proves the previous instance wasn't an aberration, but policy.

You can write your own lament for a decent society probably, but the best one is Maggie Gallagher's, which ends thus:
