Joy of Curmudgeonry here has a few choice words for the heirs of the Enlightenment. One has to like a person who writes this:
There is plenty more to say about Rousseau himself; but there is really no better argument against him — or rather, against Professor Grayling’s beliefs about the Enlightenment — than simply to read his books.
But really I call this to your attention because of the use of the word "embulgent." No doubt from the same root as "embiggens."
