Another Non-Liberal For Hollywood

Out of the blue an old pal called. This old pal, in fact. He who was born to live in NY is accepting life in exile in LA to work for a show I've decided not to mention (don't want to get him in trouble by making him seem ungrateful for an opportunity he is very happy to have). In the course of shooting the breeze it came out that he did not vote for Obama. Not for McCain either, but still. I was too stunned --you can't imagine how Lefty this fellow once was-- to inquire whether he'd gone third party or simply abstained.

"Basically, I make too much money for it to be consistent with reason to still be Liberal," quoth he. "And yet I am too set in my ways to be Conservative."

I told him to ponder that last remark and re-evaluate.
