The Tomatoes Don't Lie, IX

|
Thanks to a line break we've had no phone or internet for 48 hours. We were forced to do yard work.

After a disastrous year for tomatoes last year (I posted this hopeful entry at the end of May and never even bothered to follow up because the summer was so rainy the plants just barely produced any fruit -- climate disruption?), hope springs eternal and I put five varieties in the ground just now.

So, for the record: tomatoes in ground May 17, 2014 and we'll see whether we've fruit by July.

In 2012 the First (and Patriotic) Tomato of Summer arrived July 4th.

And here's the log of First Tomatoes of Summer since 2005, my contribution to climate science.
