If Castro & Chavez can control political speech, why can't they?I don't know why they bother. If talk radio had any real influence would we have the Congress we have? In fact, I suspect the one thing that could get Gramma tossed out of office next election would be turning every radio station in the nation into Top 40 or Oldies.
Nevertheless, my recommendation is we amass our files on Chris Matthews, Brian Williams, Katie Couric, etc., and use the fairness doctrine to shut down television news, too. There's always a silver lining.
